Account Information via Clerk
When you sign up or log in to PollToProof, we collect basic account details including your Name, Email Address, and authentication identifiers. This data is handled securely through our authentication provider, Clerk. We do not store your raw login passwords on our servers.
Widget & Poll Configuration Data
Information you provide to customize widgets (questions, choices, color settings, domain whitelists, and imported testimonials) is stored to render your active widgets on your authorized sites.
Payment Information via Stripe
For paid subscriptions and one-time lifetime passes, payments are processed directly by our PCI-compliant payment processor, Stripe. PollToProof never stores or has access to your full credit card number or CVV.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used strictly to deliver and maintain the PollToProof service, including:
- Widget rendering & feedback collection: Processing responses and rendering interactive poll popups and testimonials on your configured web pages.
- Account authentication & security: Verifying identity and access rights via Clerk.
- Service operations & support: Providing customer support, diagnosing technical bugs, and delivering essential account notifications.
4. Cookies & Session Management
PollToProof utilizes essential cookies and browser local storage strictly required for:
- Session Management: Maintaining your authenticated session and keeping you securely signed in to your studio dashboard via Clerk.
- Widget Frequency Capping: Remembering whether an end-user has already completed or dismissed a poll on your site to prevent repetitive disruptions (stored client-side in localStorage/cookies).
We do not deploy invasive third-party tracking or behavioral advertising cookies across the web.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We partner with trusted third-party cloud infrastructure providers who adhere to strict confidentiality and security protocols:
- Clerk: User authentication, multi-factor login, and secure user identity management.
- Stripe: Payment gateway, billing portal, and subscription lifecycle management.
- Cloud Hosting & Database: Secure cloud infrastructure to host the web application and serve script assets with global low latency.

We retain account data for as long as your account is active or needed to provide the service, and will purge it upon account deletion requests.
